A need to return to origin
True as the need for home
Rush of shoreline, sea kelp
The coupling of crabs, flash
Of small fish in a tidal pool

But a reason for rock, foam
Gull, cloud, sky– unknown.
Each salty breath brings me
Into being, but you, Womb
Of Life, Great Mother, you

Hold all answers, teach me
Who I am, lonely but whole
Many but one, isolated in
Our interconnection– Love
Is never greater than now

These unbearably clear days
Blood-burst of mystic vision
The wonder of hearing in all
The endless hymn of creation
Caught in a net of silence

The mantra of waves.
