On The Road 2017

Here’s the beginning of a schedule of venues I will appear at with other poets in 2017.  I’m planning to get out to public libraries in rural areas as much as possible to bring poetry to people there this year.   I will continue to add more readings as the list grows.

2) March 15th 7:00-8:00 p.m. The Creekside, 18200 Woodinville-Snohomish Rd NE. features Rayn Roberts, Michael Dylan Welch & Tanya McDonald.   (Intersection of Woodinville-Snohomish Rd NE and 140th Avenue NE), Woodinville, WA Open Mic Included. Poets are asked to provide family-oriented material.

4) April 21st 4- 5:45 pm. PoetsWest, in honor of National Poetry Month, features Kevin O’Conner, Terry Busch & Rayn Roberts @ Lynnwood Public Library 19200 44th Ave W. Lynnwood 98036. Open Mic Included.

5) April 27 Thurs. 6:30 – 7pm,  I will be on KSER Radio FM 90.7 for PoetsWest  with other fine Pac. NW Poets including Pieter Zilinsky,  Jim Lutz, Len Tew, Michael Magee, Jane Alynn & more.

Rayn Roberts says, “I’m not a poet. I’m a puppeteer.  I dangle figures and images in the air and on the page to enlighten, entertain and encourage self-expression.  A graduate of the University of San Diego where he studied English Literature, he taught ESL in Asia for nearly 15 years, but now lives near Seattle. His poetry can be found in three books and many journals in including Rattle, The Sow’s Ear Review, Thunder Sandwich, The Pedestal Magazine and many more. His latest book, from Poetic Matrix Press, is “Of One and Many Worlds.” In 2006 he was included by Evolving Editions in their interfaith understanding series “Illuminations” and in 2017 his work was included in the UK in “Along the Shore” an Anthology of poem about the sea from Lost Tower Press.

His work appears in the printed anthologies: The San Diego Poetry Annual, Garden Oak Press in association with the San Diego Entertainment & Arts Guild (SDEAG),  Along the Shore from Lost Tower Press, London, UK, The Book of Hope & The World Healing Book from Beyond Borders Press ~ In the Arms of Words: Poems for Disaster Relief by Foothills Publishing and Sherman Asher and The Philosophical Library of Escondido California’s New Anthology entitled Paths.
